The annual picnic held at the Fritz Grupe Park in Stockton was well attended. Over a hundred members showed up and spent a relaxing day renewing friendship, playing games, winning raffle prizes and of course enjoyed eating the sumptous foods. Dodong Magdamo distributed copies of the on-going and proposed programs and projects. The 106th SU Founder' Day Dinner Dance was held on September 15, 2007 at the Embasy Suites Hotel, Burlingame, CA. This affair was moved to this date due to the difficulty of finding an affordable venue available for a Saturday affair rather than on a Sunday. Over-all, the affair went well, fellowship was good and everyone enjoyed the silent auction and the raffles planned by a special committee.
The annual SUAANC Christmas Party was held in December 8, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church of Newark, Newark, CA. A committee was appointed composed of Charito Lopez, Nilda Mapeso, Metzie Katada and Lilia Magdamo to plan the event. All area coordinators were requested to invite as many members to attend and plan varied numbers from their childrens group as well as from the adults group to be presented as part of the program. Ramel Cruz was the Santa Claus who distributed gifts to the children. Je Ygnalaga was the Master of Ceremonies. Food was sumptous as usual, fellowship was heartwarming and contagious. By far, this was the best organized and well attended affair.
